Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis: The world has observed a number of acts of brutality, like domestic violence, rape, and sexual assaults. Some of the major cases in recent past were of Elizabeth Pena, Rehtaeh Parsons, Oksana Makar, and Nirvaya, to name a few. Some victims managed to survive, but not all. They live in grief for the rest of their lives, and if not, they quit. This work is inspired from such cases where the victims have set examples by their life from grief to victory. And believe me, they can inspire you if you or someone of your near one is in grief. People commit suicide not because they are in grief but because they were unable to solve the lateral equations of insanity.

Download or read book Intermediate-Energy Nuclear Physics written by A. S. Iljinov and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1994-01-27 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis: Intermediate-Energy Nuclear Physics is devoted to discussing the interaction between hadrons with nuclei, which leads to the emission of particles during an intranuclear cascade and subsequent decay of a highly excited residual nucleus. Experimental data and the methods and results of the calculation of probabilities of various processes initiated by intermediate-energy hadrons in nuclei are set forth and discussed. The potential for obtaining information on the structure and properties of nuclei by comparing experimental data with theoretical results is analyzed. New issues, such as analytic methods for the solution of kinetic equations describing the cascade, nuclear absorption of hadrons from bound states of hadronic atoms, interaction of antinucleons with nuclei, multifragmentation of highly excited residual nuclei, and polarization phenomena, are discussed in detail. The book also demonstrates hadron-nucleus interactions that bridge the gap between low-energy and heavy ions physics. It is an interesting reference for nuclear physicists and other researchers interested in the analysis of problems associated with the evolution of the early (hot) universe, neutron stars and supernovas, after-burning of radioactive waste in nuclear energy installations, and electronuclear energy breeding.

Book Synopsis: LYTTON STRACHEY tells the following story. In intervals of relaxation from his art, the painter Degas used to try his hand at writing sonnets. One day, while so engaged, he found that his in spiration had run dry. In desperation he ran to his friend Mallarme, who was a poet. "My poem won't come out," he said, "and yet I'm full of excellent ideas. " "My dear Degas," Mallarme retorted, "poetry is not written with ideas, it is written with words. " If we seek an application of Mallarme's words to mathematics we find that we shall want to turn his paradox around. We are led to say that mathematics does not consist of formulas, it consists of ideas. What is platitudinous about this statement is that mathe matics, of course, consists of ideas. Who but the most unregenerate formalist, asserting that mathematics is a meaningless game played with symbols, would deny it? What is paradoxical about the state ment is that symbols and formulas dominate the mathematical page, and so one is naturally led to equate mathematics with its formulas.

Download or read book Hexagonal Image Processing written by Lee Middleton and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-08-16 with total page 280 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis: The sampling lattice used to digitize continuous image data is a signi?cant determinant of the quality of the resulting digital image, and therefore, of the e?cacy of its processing. The nature of sampling lattices is intimately tied to the tessellations of the underlying continuous image plane. To allow uniform sampling of arbitrary size images, the lattice needs to correspond to a regular - spatially repeatable - tessellation. Although drawings and paintings from many ancient civilisations made ample use of regular triangular, square and hexagonal tessellations, and Euler later proved that these three are indeed the only three regular planar tessellations possible, sampling along only the square lattice has found use in forming digital images. The reasons for these are varied, including extensibility to higher dimensions, but the literature on the rami?cations of this commitment to the square lattice for the dominant case of planar data is relatively limited. There seems to be neither a book nor a survey paper on the subject of alternatives. This book on hexagonal image processing is therefore quite appropriate. Lee Middleton and Jayanthi Sivaswamy well motivate the need for a c- certedstudyofhexagonallatticeandimageprocessingintermsoftheirknown uses in biological systems, as well as computational and other theoretical and practicaladvantagesthataccruefromthisapproach. Theypresentthestateof the art of hexagonal image processing and a comparative study of processing images sampled using hexagonal and square grids.

This book was released on 2002-08-15 with total page 1256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis: The new edition of this highly acclaimed textbook contains several major additions, including more than four hundred new exercises (with hints and answers). To match the mathematical preparation of current senior college and university entrants, the authors have included a preliminary chapter covering areas such as polynomial equations, trigonometric identities, coordinate geometry, partial fractions, binomial expansions, induction, and the proof of necessary and sufficient conditions. Elsewhere, matrix decompositions, nearly-singular matrices and non-square sets of linear equations are treated in detail. The presentation of probability has been reorganized and greatly extended, and includes all physically important distributions. New topics covered in a separate statistics chapter include estimator efficiency, distributions of samples, t- and F- tests for comparing means and variances, applications of the chi-squared distribution, and maximum likelihood and least-squares fitting. In other chapters the following topics have been added: linear recurrence relations, curvature, envelopes, curve-sketching, and more refined numerical methods.

This book was released on 1991 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Synopsis: This study investigates the econometric properties of the demand for money function as it affects monetary policy. Particular emphasis is placed throughout on the general properties of conventional and alternative demand for money specifications and on the predictability of that demand over time. The author tests proposed explanations for the recent abnormal behavior of U.S. money demand by using a new data set--the Japanese data base--for the first time, offering important new insights into the general properties of money demand functions.
